Russian > English: Weekly digest of Russian newspaper articles

A weekly publication that publishes English translations of Russian newspaper articles is in need of an experienced Russian>English translator. Translators can expect at least 1,000-2,000 source words each week from articles that cover a broad range of topics including politics, economics, foreign policy, legal issues, history, religion, military affairs, etc. We are particularly interested in translators that have experience with economic and military terminology.

Translators must be able to follow the publication's style rules and must be willing to review the final, edited versions of their translations and make improvements based on any changes made by our editors.

Deadlines will vary, but in general translators are given at least 48 hours to complete the translation. Our rate is $0.06 per target (English) word and payment is issued biweekly by check or wire transfer. Potential translators will be required to provide a resume and complete at least two trial translations before a decision is made.
