Sunday afternoon.
The house turned silent after a lot of hustle and bustle. Carrying size-nine knitting needles and the big copper-brown ball of wool, I walked over to our third-floor balcony and pulled my favourite rocking chair to one of its cool corners. Crammed with flower pots set at different levels, the rugged arrangement presented an overall cool and green ambience. Damien, our German Shepherd who followed me around whenever the children were not at home, flopped down beside me, sighed heavily and shut her eyes, her shampooed, silky, golden hair lightly stirring under the whirring fan.
