Anakan GmbH is looking for highly motivated and experienced English<German translators for our office in Berlin.
Anakan is a specialist game localization company working on 10 platforms and in 24 languages. As of today, the company has localized more than 900 products for many of the world's best-known companies such as Activision, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Eidos, Vivendi Games, Ubisoft, Atari, Sega, Virgin, Mattel, Mindscape, EA, Kemco, Agetec, etc.
Job Description
Perform any necessary activities in the Anakan i.e., spot, proof, transcribe, translate (in-game text, dialogue, user manuals, etc.) or perform any other tasks that are required for all Anakan products and services.
This position is permanent and in-house in Anakan, Berlin.
Special requirements:
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills in German
• Able to follow our metrics of 3.000 words of translation per day for a high quality of work
• Computer literate
• Must be an avid gamer with online and/or offline games
• Must be a detail-oriented and flexible team player who is self-motivated, responsible, hard-working, innovative, dedicated and deadline-oriented
• Must be used with all consoles/PC TCR terminology / Trados
• Understanding of the gaming industry
