Anakan GmbH, a Berlin-based video game localization company, is looking for a dynamic and talented student with a passion for video games & translation. We are always looking for the best talent, and we strongly believe that on-the-job work experience can help students in their professional development.
Our offer :
After a minimum period of 4 months of work in our office, you will have a better knowledge of several CAT softwares (Trados, Loc Studio, etc…) and the consoles terminologies.
You will get an insight look into the localization process of video games and learn all aspects of our translation workflow giving you a peep behind the scenes of audio productions and testing.

Your main tasks include proofreading of video game contents, smaller translations, recruitment and coordination tasks.
Requirements:
• Enrolled in an accredited university, college or trade school
• Computer literate - MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of CAT tools
• Avid gamer with online and/or offline games
• Detail-oriented and flexible team player who is self-motivated, responsible, innovative, dedicated and deadline-oriented
• Understanding of and desire to work in the gaming industry
• Applicants must have a strong comprehension of the English language and must be well versed in American/British English, native-language colloquial expressions and gaming protocols
• Minimum availability of 4 months
