Large-Scale Online Travel Project
Many Translators/Editors Required for Large-Scale Online Travel Project
We are a multinational localization and outsourcing company based in Thailand, Singapore, and Argentina. Our clients include many online travel operators who require large amounts of content in a number of languages. We are currently seeking a number of freelance and part-time staff to work on a large-scale, two phase translation project. Phase one involves providing content and translations for inputting into a custom-built machine translation tool (MTT); phase two concerns the proof reading and post-editing of the MTT output.
This is an ongoing project that we expect to provide 40,000 words per month for an individual translator; 200,000 words per month for each editor.
We have a number of freelance positions for professional translators and editors for phase one of this project.
Language pairs:
• English > Japanese
• English > Norwegian
Tasks would include:
• Locating high quality online content and translations in the target languages
• Translating or editing translated copy to a high standard
• You may be asked to assist us in creating a glossary or to evaluating and grading the performance of other translators
Requirements:
• Native speaker of target language
• Experience in translating or editing travel related material is preferred
• Own a recent model computer with a broadband internet connection and spreadsheet software
Given that the volume of work for this project is large, the tasks are straightforward, and cost is a priority for our client, candidates offering the most competitive rates will be prioritized. Short-listed candidates will be asked to take a sample test.
