English > Māori: Prayer translation, 224 words

The text I require to be translated is a prayer, that once translated into Maori is going to be used in a variety of ways in relation to the restoration project, which is subject of the prayer. The project is in its beginning stages but has recently been visited by eco students and has been well supported within the community and ecology circles. The full prayer for translation is inserted in full below.

Example of text:
O gracious Lord our heavenly father, We give thanks to you for this beautiful forest land of Tangikaroro,
We give thanks for the way in which you have guided my forebearers into saving this small piece of wonderland for all to share and enjoy,
We thank you for the beautiful weather you blessed us with,
We thank you for bringing to our promised land all these wonderful people from within Aotearoa and the United States,
We thank you for the assisstance given to us by these special people in the planting and dedication of a Titoki tree so kindly donated by Diane Peters to honour the restoration beginings of the Tangikaroro project,
We thank you for the research work carried out by these gifted people, guided to us by Jonno and Ria of Eco Quest,
We thank you for the knowledge recorded and beautiful photographs gained over the four days we so enjoyably shared together,
We thank you for the gift of my own people of home in accepting our visitors to our Marae and to walk over our lands,
We thank you for bringing the restoration of Tangikaroro a step closer,
And finally we thank you for all you have done in guiding us to making the rightful decisions for Tangikaroro and may we be forever blessed unto your holy name,
With the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.
