My name is Sarah Druschke and I am a Project Manager at Commsmultilingual, a language services company based in the UK. We have a new project coming up and are currently looking for an expert with a degree in Psychology who would be able to help us.

Our company specialises in the translation into several languages of psychology-related materials and we offer a number of related services. Some of our clients have now shown some interest in some of our special services, such as cognitive debriefing and expert reviewing.

All our clients are renowned companies in the field. They produce psychological materials and they use several QA procedures to ensure the quality of their products. We translate their documents regularly and they have now asked for some further steps. This includes Cognitive Debriefing to statistically validate a translation.

The Cognitive Debriefing process involves validating the translation of the tool in country, through a qualitative process which consists on reviewing the contents of the translation, administering it to a small sample of the population and then producing a final report based on the results.

The objective of Cognitive Debriefing is to ensure that the psychometric items are appropriate for the target group and to make recommendations on items that need localisation. The project is completed by an expert in the subject matter area who is a native speaker of the target language and who lives in the target country.

The professionals we are looking for should have Arabic as their native language; they should speak and write English to a proficient level; any experience as researchers or reviewers would be a plus.
