Editing/Review - Large Project - Many languages needed

We would love to hear if you would be interested in an exciting new contract requiring experienced Linguistic Network Leaders.

We are looking for talents that are willing to act and work as key stake holders and decision influencers for their respective native language.

Candidates must be experts on all linguistic matters for their mother tongue and must be able to provide evidence of their expertise.

Here are the requirements:
• Proven track record of high quality translation or working as a recognized linguistic resource
• At least 5 years of translation experience in localization industry or proven expertise in linguistics
• Native speakers fluent in English
• Passion for technology and Internet products
• Able to work as cooperative team member and able to act as coach for other linguistic resources
• Ideally, familiarity with translation tools, particularly Idiom World Server, Desktop Workbench and Google Translator Toolkit (GTT)

Tasks will include:
• Reviewing or spot-checking of high-priority content
• Identifying, suggesting and maintaining key quality criteria relevant to the specific language
• Performing quality assurance on linguistic assets produced by third parties
• Creating and maintaining all linguistic references
• Performing Style Guide, Terminology and, as required, Translation Memory maintenance
• Stakeholder Management including
o Regular communication with client and translation suppliers
o Regular calls with Language Leads at suppliers based on predefined communication protocol
o Monitor and act upon failure to meet language quality requirements
o Training and mentoring for other external linguists
o Point of contact for language-related and market-related questions
o Monitor and participate in translator discussions
