English Technical Writer needed in Krakow, Poland

We are looking for a highly qualified professional with the ability to understand how a technical product works. The candidate should have technical insight that helps her/him to analyze scientific content, understand it and then further explain it in simple language that is understandable to the intended audience. The Technical Writer will work with the customer and the project team to produce documentation in accordance with the customer's requirements. The person will be responsible for adapting the clients’ documentation to STE rules, training technical writers in using STE standards, and technical translations.

The position offered is available only in our Krakow office, Poland.

Key responsibilities:

• Technical documentation source reviews
• Re-writing and writing documentation using Simplified Technical English (STE) standards
• Editing, standardizing or making changes to material prepared by other writers, according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
• Revising/proofreading English translations
• Preparing and conducting STE training for technical writers
• Training at clients' offices

Requirements:

Education:
University degree in Language or Technical Studies
We will consider only English native speakers.

Professional experience:
• Three years of work experience in technical writing or technical translations

Skills:
• Excellent writing and analytical skills
• Strong ability to write well-structured, clear, and concise technical documentation
• Strong English grammar, proofreading, and copy editing skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to understand technical or scientific material and present it in a simple way
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize under pressure

Languages:
Native English
Fluency in Russian will be a plus.

Computer skills:
Excellent computer literacy skills.
