In order to understand the requirements of the position, an understanding of a blog and its usefulness is a must. We are looking for a translator cum writer who could assist us in developing quality articles to be posted on our blog in Chinese.

Subjects of writing
The topics of the blog articles will range from various areas of scientific study and their publications e.g: discussing latest news in a field of medicine or a highly cited publication in a specific subject area, how peer review process works, newer trends in scientific publications etc. The candidate do not need to have an in depth knowledge of any specific science but a scientific background with awareness on Scientific publications will be an advantage.

About the audience who will read this blog
This blog shall be written in Simplified Chinese language specifically meant for Chinese scientific researchers, scholars and scientists who wish to publish their research work in international scientific journals in the US or UK. The blog intends to offer these people specific tips and helpful resources to write and structure their English articles effectively. The blog also aims to build a non-commercial relationship with the audience and engage them in fruitful discussions about the various topics.

This job requires a candidate to do the following
1. Write content for the company blog that aims at offering useful articles and helpful tips to our potential clients
2. The articles may be written from scratch or translated from English content (English content will be provided)
3. Find appropriate and interesting articles similar and highly relevant to our industry and then write on such articles.
4. Share your own experiences (if any) in English writing and scientific publications
5. Do necessary research online whenever needed to support subject area knowledge and to add value and quality to these articles
6. Closely co-ordinate with Online Marketing team in promoting the blog and working with specific set of instructions
7. Strict adherence to deadlines

Eligibility Criteria
1. More than 7 yrs of writing/translating experience
2. Should have experience in working on marketing materials like website content, brochures, blogs, social media etc
3. Should be research oriented with keen interest in internet and digging articles/news online
4. Should be a post graduate and has experience in writing a thesis/dissertation/research paper at least once in life
5. Should have an excellent knowledge of Simplified Chinese language
6. Should have fair knowledge of written and spoken English so as to communicate with the offshore Marketing team
7. Should be detail oriented, a good planner, an avid learner, punctual, quality oriented and team player
8. Should be passionate about Chinese language and its beauty
9. Having published papers to your credit will be an added advantage
10. Having a blog of your own is an added advantage
