ENGLISH TO CANTONESE FREELANCE TRANSLATORS
Main Duties:
Translating and proofreading from English to Cantonese
Education, Experience and Competencies:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be native Cantonese speakers
Possess a strong knowledge of the English language (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
Have a bachelor degree and/or experience related to translation, literature, journalism or communication
Be computer-oriented and have sound knowledge of MS Office Suite
Be organized, priority-focused, dynamic, independent and resourceful
Work well under pressure and respect deadlines
Have image and sound awareness (active viewer)
Acquire good typing speed and strong listening skills
Availability:
Candidates must be available for at least 8 hours a day, 3 days a week, starting immediately.
Priority will be given to candidates who are available to complete the test, installation and training within 2 weeks after the CVs are received.
Other Requirements
Candidates must possess a PC (MAC and Virtual PC are not compatible with our software). Our minimum computer and internet requirements are:
Windows XP or Windows Vista with 1 GB RAM
DSL with minimum download 256/upload 128 speed or Cable with 1 MB
