English > Spanish: Localization of Software in Santa Barbara, California
Our company is looking for a English to Spanish translator and localization specialist for ongoing projects with a high profile client in Santa Barbara, California.
The linguist must be living or willing to move to Santa Barbara. There will be various projects to work on and the major one being the localization of products of a local VIP client.
This project can only be performed by one experienced professional for:
- Linguistic quality (text and audio) of software and/or video games on current platforms.
- The tester will report spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation mistakes, as well as incorrect translations, context issues and incorrect terminology in a database, and propose corrections.
-Verify the linguistic content in software applications.
-Verify that platform-specific terminology is correctly implemented.
-Review and proofread translated text.
-Occasionally perform translations of legal and marketing materials.
-Write bug reports in a database.
-Suggest corrections/improvements for the text and audio.
Basic Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of Spanish.
- Fluent knowledge in English.
-Proficiency in writing and proofreading of texts.
-Good communication and team working skills.
-Ability to work independently and diligently.
-Good knowledge of PC hardware/software.
