A viral campaign is made to get a big media buzz, most of the viral campaigns start in the internet. To push the vacation destination Sylt there are also different other channels to get the media attention. This campaign is not just displayed in the internet, cause there are different target groups, which can´t be reached by the web. The campaign is based on four different marketing disciplines (see Figure Number 6): The kick-off will be assisted by a guerilla action; in addition to that, the other channels have to be ready to answer to the media response and to explain further, the reason for the campaign. For these explanations and to make sure, that the campaign has a resounding success there are different other Marketing channels. The allover claim for the campaign will be “Don´t dream it. See it - Sylt”. As the beautiful pictures of Sylt will surprise the Italian target group this claim fits perfectly. 99% of the targets group is most probably not aware of, that a place like this exists in Germany. So they have to come to see Sylt and to experience the island. This claim will accompany the whole campaign and will be the recognition value of the campaign. For setting up a round and comprehensive campaign, there will be used the instrument Public relation, the instrument social media and the instrument advertisement, which will be explained in the following articles.
