Linguistic Reviewers required for an Advertising Corporation

I would like to speak to you regarding our current requirement for an external linguist with a passion for social media and innovating products to carry our review projects for our leading client from English into Hungarian/Cantonese/Latvian

Please find some further information regarding the project in question below.

The Project
The project is with one of the world’s leading brands; a young and vibrant multinational company highly specialised in online advertising and internet-based IT services. It is based primarily in the marketing/technical/IT field and includes promotional literature/advertising and other related documents. Due to the size of the project we will be assembling teams for each language combination who together can manage the workload. All work will be completed on a freelance basis from your own home/office.

With regards to review work, we expect our linguists to be able to review up to 1000 words per hour on average.

Volumes
The volumes expected from this client are very large and the project is expected to offer these volumes continuously. While the project will not offer full time translation work, it should offer a continuous stream of part-time freelance work for somewhere in the region of 1-3 years. The work is due to start in the coming months and any work would be submitted by our user friendly online interface, Language Director.

Training
Before the live work is due to start, our client will be taking each of the selected linguists through a short training program. This will be entirely online-based and will consist of around 17 hours of work, which you will be required to complete over a one week period. The training will be paid at your agreed hourly review rate and will introduce you to the client specific style guides and toolkits, as well as providing you with a comprehensive overview of your role and the part that our freelance linguists play in the company as a whole.

Requirements
Ideal candidates will have a strong social media presence and be familiar with the wide range of products and applications available online. A background in blogging, editing or internet based journalism would be a definite advantage!
No specific software is required for this project however you will need to have access to a web cam and microphone as part of the training and ongoing work will involve dropping in on hang outs with the other linguists.
