Cosmetic products are substances or preparations other than drugs designed to clean, protect, maintain, change the appearance, perfume or modify the scent of the human skin after being applied on superficial portions. Skin products for children eat a large share of the cosmetic market due to extensive media advertisement and aesthetic write-ups. This exposure to a variety of cosmetic products makes the child increasingly vulnerable to a large number of allergic substances. However, given the special features of the child’s skin, these products must be used with caution. For these reasons, we decided to carry out this study with the aim of assessing the knowledge, attitudes and practices with regards to the use of cosmetic products in children less than 5 years in Yaoundé. The main objective is to contribute to improving the way these products are used on children
