English > Arabic: On Site Minneapolis Mn Translation & Interpreting

We are seeking a native Arabic speaker and US Citizen with previous experience that will act as an on-site consultant, Interpreter & translator for a project that will require AE  EN translations and interpreting. The individual that would need to be physically on site for approximately 10-30 hours per week for a period of 6-12 months. The locale is 30 miles NW of Minneapolis, MN. Actual hours are to be determined.

The need is for someone to help with Arabic/English translations with their munitions and manufacturing division – we are asking for 8+ years of technical and manufacturing experience and of course full fluency in Arabic/English. Our client will have an overseas delegate making onsite visits to their facility on a regular basis throughout the year – the delegate will be a native Arabic speaker and there will not be any people on site that speak English. The consecutive interpreting portion of this project will come into play for a small group of people for meetings, tours, etc.

Below are the list of requirements for qualified applicants. Geographically desirable candidates, within a commutable distance of the location will get preferential treatment.

• 8+ years’ background experience working in a role requiring document translations in manufacturing and technical know-how
• Able to interpret and translate Arabic technical data accurately (speak, read, and write)
• Able to work with individuals whose primary language is English and others whose primary language is Arabic
• Will be able to be located around the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area of Minnesota.
• Estimated start date May 2014
• 1 year assignment, not full time
• Must be U.S. Citizen
• Must have recognized degree (in any subject matter is okay)

Salary will be annual and will be amortized in order to be distributed every 2 weeks.
