English > English: Proofreading of a dissertation on global history, 247 pages
I need a dissertation in the field of global history proofread.
Length: 247 pages
Deadline: August 20, 2014
Example of text:
This study wants to offer a different approach. It seeks to explain the complex phenomenon by examining the dynamic history of globalization in places of congestion. It is focused on cities, ”because they have played a crucial role throughout the whole process as centers of exchange and as focal points of development.” Further, cities are places whose past and present is well documented and researched, compared to other spaces. In our study, we want connect findings and theories of the present global city research to past world city research models. That will offer us a better explanation of historical globalization developments in world cities and will show, how globalization processes worked in the past. We thereby put forward the thesis that many of the seemingly new processes that most of us frequently only connect to our present globalized world, are not as young as expected. Many aspects, used to describe the processes of compression of our modern world, had occupied our ancestors already centuries ago. Of course, present problems and global challenges, were not exactly the same in the past as today. However, a historical point of view shows us very striking similarities and could offer fresh insights into our own understanding of globalization
