Late in the evening, a cold chill drifted in through the covered window openings. Wind and rain could be heard against the slate tiled roof and wooden shutters. The shutters tapped rapidly against the exterior as the wind howled past. It was a round room with stoned walls and an old wooden, spiral staircase that led the long way down to the ground level below.
