English > Czech: 2–7 Bochures (ca. 3000 words): Mechanical engineering, erosion technology, EDM
ENGLISH:
We are looking for a qualified translator who is familiar with mechanical engineering and eroding technology.
The job encloses up to seven brochures, each with about 40 pages and about 3000 words. Those brochures are catalogs of model series of EDM machines. Therefore some specialist knowledge about eroding technology is needed to be able to correctly translate the individual terminology. The brochures are available in German and English.
It is asked to translate an excerpt from these brochures, as sample translation first. Czech native speakers preferred.
Please also indicate whether you can edit Adobe InDesign documents (InDesign skills/tasks: Inserting the translation, typesetting, break, any necessary adjustments of the layout – such as enlargement of text frames, etc.)
We will send the sample translations our customers and they will select a translator for the brochures.
Please send us your offer.
Example of text:
Wire break point insertion even on thick and interrupted workpieces.
The time-consuming return to the starting point is omitted – and machining continues where it left off, thanks to the highly advanced wire annealing system. Depending on machining conditions, threading can be successfully performed with or without jet stream and even submerged – depending on workpiece thickness.
