Exemple du texte :
EXT. ROOFTOP - NIGHT
- and the sound of distant GUNFIRE in the low-built city below. A few red TRACER ROUNDS drift up in the sky beyond a distant MOSQUE.
Another layer of sound slowly rises - laughter and chat over a Velvet Underground song. The RING of a cell phone.
GABE (29, grubby good looks) steps into frame, drinking a beer and holding a phone to his ear.
GABE
(into phone)
Osman!
EXT. GLORIA’S HOUSE - MORNING
Osman stands outside Gloria’s house in a t-shirt and jeans, smoking as he eyes the charred remnants of the mailbox.
OSMAN
Gabe. Where are you?
BACK ON GABE -
- who winces as a piercing LAUGH erupts from a nearby group of young, hard-drinking NGO types. An older bearded man holds court in the center of the kids, a huge Gurkha knife in his hand.
GABE
Kabul. Le Monde Hotel. You remember the freelancer with the knife?
The bearded man turns and raises his knife to the night sky; the back of his fatigued vest is embroidered with big letters spelling out “AUTHOR.”
GABE (CONT’D)
Yeah, the author. He’s getting a bunch of Christian NGOrs wasted.
BACK ON OSMAN
- who chuckles; he can picture the scene perfectly.
OSMAN
How are you?
INTERCUT LOCATIONS DURING CONVERSATION

That is not the question, man.
Osman turns away from the mailbox, looks into the trees across the street.
