Potential request for translation quotes from freelance translators (no agencies please)
English > Chinese (Traditional): Patent reviser / translator wanted
At the present moment we at MultiLinXXXXXXXXg.com) are looking for translators who can primarily revise (and translate) patents within the fields of electrical, semiconductor, chemical, medical and/or computers from English to Traditional Chinese. We are currently getting a lot of work in these fields and language pairs.
Our minimum application requirements are as follows:
• Native-level proficiency in Traditional Chinese
• At least 5 years of professional translation experience in the subjects above
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Contact with target-language speakers on a very frequent and regular basis
• Trados compatibility is a plus
If you comply with these, have availability and are interested in working with us, please respond to the following standard questions:
1. What is your standard rate for translations and bilingual revision of the subject above? Please include your most competitive rates for new text (per source word) and revision (per hour and source word).
3. What is your average daily and monthly capacity (in words) that you are able to offer MultiLing for this language pair?
4. What CAT tools do you currently use/possess? We need our translators to be able to receive and deliver Trados packages (.sdlppx and .sdlrpx).
4. Would you be willing to perform a translation test of around 300 words?
5. Are you skilled in any other patent related areas? Please detail your specific experience with particular subjects and we will consider that for possible future needs.
6. Could you possibly attach your CV so that I can have a closer look?
