Portuguese > English: Period Biographic Fiction, about 30,000 words
Period Biographic Fiction !?
the book is not finished but I think will be about 30,000 words
This book tells the history of a German girl (12 or 13 years old) kidnaped from a port in Rio de Janeiro at the time of slavery in Brazil… The reader will follow her life thru adulthood on the hands of a military man who also was a farmer and slave trader. In parallel the reader will also see the Brazilian independence from Portugal and the beginning of the Republic. The whole thing is written like a movie. Maria Eugenia will give birth to 7 sons who will also play a part on this history.
Text sample:
Capítulo I - Torres
No convés do barco o ar parece inexistente.
