Our village was built alongside the
Molotschena River on low, flat land. To the
north, were fruit orchards and beyond the
orchards were acres and acres of pasture land.
This pasture was located not too far from
the village and so it was well situated for the
raising of milk cows. These were brought in for
milking three times a day. From the pasture one
could see the hills, a range of small mountains,
and the wide open fields for grain and hay. On
the far side of the fields lay the railroad tracks.
This was a rich land, ideal for farming.
