Translators for different languages for the Bodies of the European Union - Legal

Dear Madam/Sir,

We are currently looking for experienced freelance translators from English and French into German, from German and French into English and from German and English into French for long term cooperation – translations in the legal field.

In the past 10 years we have been holding two of the main translation contracts for the European Parliament. As an acknowledged and longstanding partner of the EP and several other European bodies we therefore aim at offering our experience even further.

We are looking for native-speaking translators who have previous experience with translating documents for the European Union and other international institutions.

The minimum level of qualification is the following:
1) have a university degree or equivalent qualification in law (or a qualification giving access to employment as an advocate, barrister or solicitor)
or
2) have a university degree or equivalent qualification in translation or languages
The translation experience in relevant language combination must be equivalent to at least 2 000 standard pages in the legal field (one year’s full time work as in-house translator in equivalent to 1 000 standard pages).
The translator must prove his/her translation experience with REFERENCE LETTERS or CERTIFICATES which must clearly indicate the volume of work done, the language combination concerned, the field of translation and the person involved and must be signed (by a third party).

Please note that SDL Trados is obligatory for this project.
