French > English: Novella, 22,000 words
I am an artist and writer looking to commission an English translation of a French novel. The text is a semi-autobiographical book about the first 9 months of a life with the author's infant son. The book, though it has been translated into 12 other languages, is not slated to be translated into English. As an artist's project I would like to commission it's English translation. It would ultimately be for my personal use. I would like a quote on price.
Example of text:
Ces petits pieds qui gigotent, ils cognaient dans mon ventre. Je ne peux pas croire qu'il soit sorti de moi. Un jour un livreur a sonné à ma porte, j'avais un gros ventre, dans le colis il y avait le bébé, et je n'ai plus eu de gros ventre.
Le petit de l'humain : il doit bien avoir quelque chose à chercher, à comprendre là.
