CANCELLATION AND ABANDONMENT INSURANCE

1. INSURING CLAUSE
Insuring Clause 1.1 Subject always to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions contained within this document or endorsements attaching to it, this Insurance is to indemnify the Assured up to but not exceeding the stated Limit of Indemnity for their Ascertained Net Loss should the pre-arranged charter/holiday be necessarily Cancelled or Abandoned provided that the necessary Cancellation or Abandonment is the sole and direct result of one or more of the Insured Perils described in 2.1 to 2.6 below and that such Insured Peril to be insured and that such Insured Peril is as a result of causes beyond the control of the Assured and each and every Insured Person.
Additional Costs 1.2 This Insurance also indemnifies the Assured for proven additional costs or charges reasonably and necessarily paid by the Assured to avoid or diminish a loss under this insurance, up to but not exceeding the loss thereby avoided.
Maximum Liability 1.3 The Underwriters’ maximum liability shall not exceed the Limit of Indemnity.
2. INSURED PERILS
The following are only insured if stated:
2.1the death of the Assured or any Insured Person;
2.2the accident to or illness of the Assured or any Insured Person which, in the opinion of an independent medical practitioner approved by underwriters, entirely prevents them from participating or continuing to participate in the yacht charter;...
