French Localization Translator
Trion Worlds is seeking a French Translator to join our localization team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Implement English-to-French translation, ensuring AAA-quality and consistency
* Translate in-game text, voice scripts, manuals, supplementary development, promotional, and testing-related documents
* Identify game content that may require revision to better suit the tastes of consumers
REQUIREMENTS
* Native speaker of French, familiar with current French culture and customs
* Excellent French-to-English translation skills, including two to four years' specific translation experience
* French and English interpretation skills, including experience interpreting creative writing
* Ability to produce high-quality results on a tight deadline
* Excellent organizational skills
* Knowledge of game localization
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
* BA in Liberal Arts or Languages
PLUSES
* Experience in gaming or the video game industry
* MA or MFA in French or English or a related field
* Passion for high fantasy games, books, and media
