For a major pharmaceutical company we are looking for a medical translation specialist from French into English.
Position: Scientific Translation Specialist
Customer: Major pharmaceutical company
Location: Onsite - in customer’s premises (France, Paris region)
Duration: ~1 year
Main duties
Translate scientific, medical and/or technical documentation into English for drug development, regulatory submissions and maintenance activities concerning products, as per official guidelines and health authority requirements. In the context of projects, coordinate translation activities related to the preparation of regulatory submissions and assist in assuring the quality of external translations as needed.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent writing skills
- English mother tongue
- Excellent command of French (more language is a plus)
- Solid knowledge of translation rules
- Excellent ability to retrieve pertinent information and terminology
- Capacity to deal with the terminology challenges in the pharmaceutical environment
- Ability to handle complex documents covering a wide range of scientific and technical subject matters
- Advanced computer literacy
