Request for translation quotes from freelance translators (no agencies please)
French > English: US-based Full Time Translator with Good DTP Skills needed
An international translation company with offices in the United States and Europe is currently looking for a full time US based translator/proofreader for French into English to join our expanding multilingual team of in-house translators on a permanent basis. You can work from our office in Florida or from your home office located in the United States (East Coast if possible).
Required experience:
• Native speaker of English
• Excellent command of French language
• Excellent DTP Skills (InDesign, Quark, etc) is a must
• Must be available full time
• Degree in translation
• Previous translation experience
• Certification a plus, but not required
• Good understanding of quality assurance methodology and criteria
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Good writing style
• Skilled working with translation memory software Trados
• Ability to schedule own work and meet deadlines
• Ability to translate 2,000-2,500 words per day
