Potential request for translation quotes from freelance translators (no agencies please)
English > French: Need French Linguist- On-site at Canada, Montreal.
We are seeking native French Proofreaders/Translators to work onsite at Montreal, Canada. Please find below the details.
Main job responsibilities
- Proofreading, editing and review of all translated drafts received from the translation teams.
- Correct terminology, grammatical errors and check for consistency with style guides.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to company standards for format, style and content.
- Manage jobs in a proactive manner and deliver high quality result.
- Prefer someone with previous CAT tools such as Trados and Software localization.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Translator/Proofreaders for Technical/IT/Software and Marketing documents.
- Excellent knowledge in French (CA) and English language.
- Good knowledge and understanding of SDL tools (TMS, Multiterm), Trados, CAT tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, common content tools.
- Excellent spoken and written language skills, attention to detail, flexibility and technical knowledge (both English and native language).
If selected, you will be required to go through training program on SDL TMS (web based), which takes approx 2 hrs.

1. Need to take one time linguistic tests as a part of screening process.

3. Has to learn and implement client style guides and terminology.
