English > French: Senior French Translator for in-house position in Krakow (Poland)

FRENCH SENIOR TRANSLATOR
For an in-house position at our Krakow office
(REF. CODE: IN)


The person in this position will be responsible for providing high quality translations in the following areas: technical/automotive/IT/construction equipment. The senior translator will also create and manage terminology databases as well as translation memories for chosen clients and will set the linguistic standards within the team. The role will require training junior translators by reviewing their work, providing appropriate feedback and supplying general support for the French language.

Requirements:

- University degree in Language or Technical Studies (engineering/machinery)

- Excellent command of the English language

- French mother tongue is essential

- Several years of experience in technical/IT/ automotive translation and proofreading work

- Knowledge of Translation and Terminology tools

- Good understanding of quality assurance methods and criteria

- Expertise in agricultural machinery/construction equipment/IT translations (e.g. for Deere, CNH, Kubota, Doosan) will be seen as an advantage

- Previous experience as an in-house translator will be considered a plus

- Strong organisational skills along with the ability to work well under pressure

- Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
