Most probably LISA comes from ELISA, after the 'E' dropped through evolution (I think the proper name for this event is apheresis, as in apheresis, syncope and paragoge) which like ISABEL is a Semitic name, which in Arabic would be EL ISAB or in this case ELIS. Perhaps, you should see a Rabbi or a Sufi experts in Linguistics.
