parce que lean clean a sans doute une connotation avec lean mean, comme dans "lean mean killing machine", que l'on pourrait peut-être traduire pur et dur, donc "pur et net" ne perd pas complètement l'allusion subtile au film ... C'est juste une suggestion!

My comment:

Lean (a very fashionable word these days of “lean” everything, from manufacturing to sports teams) and clean in this context, which seems to have more to do with marketing than engineering, means that it’s an efficient machine, with nothing superfluous, I don’t think it has anything to do with cleanliness or lubrication.
