If the Russian word were written correctly, it would be GREETING.

My comment:

The Russian word is written with mistakes. It should be not ÏÐÈÑÒÂÅÑÒÈÅ (pristvestie), but ÏÐÈÂÅÒÑÒÂÈÅ (privetstvie). The word means GREETING.

My references:

none

I agree: greeting, welcoming message, etc. The Russian word is used for both the action (when I am greeting smb.), and the message (e.g. the organizers' welcoming introduction in an exibition directory).
