Neither "novated" nor "novate" are English words, so you will have to ask what they mean. At this point, none of the meanings it could have (innovate, being new) make sense in this particular sentence.

novated significa en algunos casos, que cuando existe un contrato entre dos partes alguno lo quiere cambiar y ambos tienen que aceptar el cambio.
