Degree of (paint, polish, finish ...) shine / brilliance

e.g.: This paint finish provides a high degree of shine / brilliance

This is correct, I believe. Probably a typo in the text. To my knowledge, there is no "grat", rather it should be "grad" as in "degree" -- making the correct translation "level of glossiness" or, more aptly, degree of glossiness" (gloss level).
