My comment:

Man kann heute nicht mehr sicher sein, ob mit einer "Disk" nicht neben der (extrem selten gewordenen) Diskette nicht möglicherweise auch ein Festplattenlaufwerk, ein Solid State Laufwerk oder vielleicht auch ein optisches Laufwerk gemeint ist. Deshalb einen Begriff mit größter Allgemeingültigkeit wählen.

As far as I know we do "entladen" vielleicht deaktivieren, löschen odr entfernen
