prevailing companies

My comment:

A “conclusion” in French law is a document submitted to the judge recapitulating all the assertions of fact or of law made by the parties, what we call a “brief”. A “société concluante” is just one of the parties having submitted a “conclusion”. So "briefing companies"? Doesn't sound right. But it also has an other meaning, synonymous with “société convaincante”, which may be more appropriate in this context. I would use “prevailing companies”.
