Plotter- und Paletteneinstellungen

My comment:

There are PEN PRINTERS - also called Plotters (http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=0&cmpType=relaxed§Hdr=on&spellToler=on&chinese=both&pinyin=diacritic&search=plotter&relink=on)

pallets - these are the regular (German) Paletten used in industrial printing to load thousands of sheets of paper at a time into the printing machine. There are settings on a press that regulate what type of pallet is acceptable, how fast the pallet is lifted (depending on how thick the paper is) to provide continuous paper for the press.
