Caro adam, se si trata di contesto economico, sarebbe "fund" e se per caso volevi dire fondo (nel fondo, in fondo in fondo, fondo stradale, etc), sarebbe "basement, fundament" (ma non sempre) or "road carrigeway" per fondo stradale. Sarebbe molto meglio per tutti se Lei dessi un po di piu contesto, cosi non si tira a indovinare, e molto spesso anche a sbagliare.
