"Overhead crane" é o guindaste (ou guincho) que se desloca em uma viga que, por sua vez, também se desloca, apoiada em trilhos presos às paredes laterais. Muito usado para manutenção de máquinas pesadas, como em casas de força de usinas hidrelétricas.
