compulsion/It was my compulsion/I was labouring under compulsion

My comment:

The said Hindi word has various equivalents in English. It depends upon the sense in which it is used. Helplessness too is a MAJBOORI but its exact Hindi equivalent is AASAHAITA

I was helpless

My comment:

Meri majboori thi is a sentence in past tense so was helpless.

It could also mean - This was my weakness - depending upon the context.
