I believe the "capucien" might refer to "Capuchin nun," hence the "holy." And "hell" is one of the customary translations of "sacré" when used as a blasphemous oath.

Thank you so much. This phrase (phonteically rendered in my request) has haunted our family for many years. It was our father's favorite phrase when something odd or surprising happened (he passed away many years ago) We never really knew for sure if he know what it meant. We suspect it was passed to him by his French mother - and it always brought a laugh from those who heard it as he was an O' Irishman - swearing in French! My sisters will be elated - thanks so much for your insight and kindness. PS. if you know the correct spelling for the phrase we would love to have it - thanks again.
