It is a handbook for lubrication and geasing equipment, the words refer to the people who use the manual operators, technicians. I couldn`t find other meaning for destitute than the 2 usual ones

Obviously there must be a mistake. This word 'destitue' as no other meanings...
May be you should check with the client...
