Araceli Herrera (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

English > Spanish

Subject:

Arts / Entertainment

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

a dozen blades to a man

Context:

The Athenian infantry stampeded toward the single beached trireme, hacking to pieces...

Keywords:

Un poco más de contexto: The Athenian infantry stampeded toward the single beached trireme, hacking to pieces, a dozen blades to a man, the first three marines that disembarked.

doce cuchillas por hombre

My comment:

I am enclosing a web address that specifies more about the different weapons they could bear... I would probably if the text gives you a more accurate idea on the weapons being a sword or spear... you may want to modify the translation.
