stimulation of posterior funiculi

My comment:

stimulation of posterior funiculi [of spinal cord].

Gate control theory and neurostimulation for deafferentation pain: "...Based on the gate control theory, the stimulation of posterior funiculus -medial lemniscal system has been used for the pain therapy by various levels such as peripheral nerve, posterior funiculus and lemniscus medialis, thalamus perception relay nucleus, connotation, and cerebral cortex. The desensitization is not often obtained, when it is stimulated at the inferior level than the bloking level. The function which suppresses posterior funiculus-medial lemniscal system seems to often remain, when the superior to the interception level is stimulated. From such viewpoint, posterior funiculus - medial lemniscal system is often stimulated at the superior to the interception level by neurone level."

funiculi - plural / funiculus - singular

My references:

posterior funiculus of spinal cord: the white substance of the spinal cord lying on either side between the posterior median sulcus and the dorsal root.

"stimulation of the posterior tracts"

My comment:

This is what I think the meaning is if the investigator is checking a diabetic patient for transmission of pain nerve impulses. Do the references shed any light on your text?
