Word or term in question:

trabéculation

Context:

trabeculation

My comment:

Trabecula (Lat.) is a cardiac muscle bar in the inner part of the heart. Trabeculation means the structure of the trabeculae (<trabes, see also French travail= heavy duty of raising bars).
E.g.: Isolated left ventricular abnormal trabeculation (ILVAT) is defined as >3 coarse trabeculations of the left ventricular wall, apically to the papillary muscles, in hearts without congenital malformations.
