My comment:

Da "Cru" im Französischen mehrdeutig ist (Wuchs, Gewächs, Erzeugnis, Lage, Jahrgang), würde ich das im Kontext nächstliegende Wort wählen oder, wenn es sich um eine Gattungsbezeichnung handelt, sogar den Terminus stehen lassen.
Das einfache und recht allgemeine "Lage" dürfte im Zusammenhange unzweifelhaft sein, insbesondere wenn eine Himmelsrichtung u/o Höhe angegeben ist.
