Colegas traductores! les tengo una pregunta: ¿este término se utiliza sólo cuando alguien se va a morir o está enfermo o también puedo usarlo en una carta de disculpa por mal comportamiento?

Supongo que se puede usar en todos los contextos donde importa se un acto haya sido hecho en un estado de conciencia y responsabilidad personal (validez de un testamento, de otros negocios jurídicos, culpabilidad de un delincuente etc.) En una disculpa personal esta forma me parece posible, pero un poco ampulosa.

Se usa en cualquier circumstancia inclusive en documentos legales como testamentos y declaraciones juradas. Perfectamente se puede aplicar a una disculpa diciendo " I was out of my mind"

This expression may be used anytime, but is mor frequent to emphasize that the statements made were totally sound and well based, in documents like will (testament), etc.
