My comment:

Since you are literally addressing your brother but an old friend, then I think it better to use the phrase 'a chara chléibh' for 'brother'. It literally means 'my bosom or dear friend'. Note also that some of the vowels, 'i' and 'e' have marks over them to lengthen the sound, thus 'í' and 'é'.
